Info HOT-Patching Systems What is HOT-Patching? HOT  Patching enables the user to change or switch the allocation between light and dimmer channel as required on the dimmer output side. A distinction is made between Soft(ware)-Patch  and  HOT-Patch.  In  the  case  of  the  soft patch  the  dimmer  channel  is  patched  in  the  selection. However, as usually a  number of consumers are connec- ted to one dimmer channel, this solution does not provi- de   the   optimal   result   when   configuring   the   lighting system. In this case the use of a HOT-Patch is recommen- ded.  CONNEX  HOT-Patch  pads  use  3  pole  connectors  of the   GST    series   with   a   leading   protective   conductor contact.  The  GST  series  is  shock  protected  and  can  be plugged in under load. Upon request, the patch pads are still available in the old ST  standard. We distinguish bet- ween 2 types of HOT  patching systems: 1.  Combination  systems  :  Dimmer  output  (F)  and  light input (M) in one patch pad. 2. Individual systems: Dimmer output panels (F) and light input pads separate in a number of patch pads.
